The Mini & BMW Specialist

I went for an i4 service after speaking to the manager reassuring me they do electric services. Booked in, £200 for brake fluid and microfilter and vehicle check. So I thought yeah, much cheaper than main stealer prices. Day of service, took my car off me then did the microfilter. Called me to say they couldnt do brake fluid and to take it to BMW as the brake fluid was coded - they could have told me that before they started work on the microfilter. So BMW are now charging me the full original cost of service of £340 as the cost of microfilter is part of that. What did the garage do as good will? Took £20 off the microfilter cost. The electric service also didn't include the vehicle check - apparently they just do a diagnostic. Why would you advertise it as an electric service then if you are not going to do an electric vehicle service check? The mechanic was not sympathetic at all which made things worse. I am now out of pocket and essentially paying for 1 and a half services. Won't be coming back again.

Really happy with the excellant service. I had a Thermostat fitted first and then also my MOT done, and will continue to use them. Great communication and a garage that I found and trust to do a good job. Hugh and the team were very helpful and answered all my questions. I am female so dont know the first things about cars but they explained to me with patience and answered all my queries in a helpful manner. I would highly recommend them being trust worthy and experts.

Mini r56 went into with window problems this was sorted in a couple of hours excellent service from Hugh and would definitely recommend will use again

I took my R50 Mini Cooper to Hugh for a routine service. It’s a very low mileage, pampered example and I didn’t want any old garage messing with it. Having watched Hugh’s YouTube videos and read the positive reviews for the business I felt the car would be in safe hands. I wasn’t disappointed. It was a pleasure to do business with Hugh and the work was done correctly and promptly. The car has a little noise from the thrust bearing and I was fully prepared to pay out for a new clutch, but Hugh discouraged me from wasting my money and suggested I live with it until it became a bigger issue. To me, this is the mark of an honest business. I wouldn’t have blamed him for taking my money and running away with it. I would not hesitate to recommend Hugh and his team to anyone with a modern Mini and I will be returning with my R50 in the future.

Had the experience to take my Mini to this place today for a comprehensive service. I was initially little reluctant to visit them for servicing and was more inclined to visit Mini main dealer, but decided to visit them with an aim to save some costs towards servicing after careful consideration. I must say Hugh dealt with my service in a very professional way and gave his time afterwards explaining what was done etc for an added comfort. Plus, they have access to Mini/BMW digital service records which is a huge benefit. I highly recommend this private small business loaded with knowledge, the expertise and professionalism to get the job done satisfactorily. Thanks Hugh
